Launch Copy That Gets Your Offer Past the First Impression.

Homepage, onboarding email, tagline, and positioning copy for companies launching something new. For pre-seed startups, product pivots, and anything being put in front of a market for the first time.

Startup & Launch Copy

Launch copy is the hardest category to write well, because there is no data yet. No conversion numbers to optimize against, no customer feedback loops, no A/B test history. You are writing for an audience you have not fully learned yet, making claims about a product that has not been battle-tested in the market.

Most launch copy fails in one of two ways. Either it tries to appeal to everyone and says nothing specific (the safe but useless approach), or it leads with features and technical specifics that only resonate with people who already understand the category deeply. Neither gets you early adopters.

What works is positioning the offer around the problem with enough specificity that the right person reads the first paragraph and thinks: this is for me. That requires understanding the specific friction the early buyer is experiencing, the specific alternative they have tried and found lacking, and the specific reason your approach is different -- not better in general, but better for this particular situation.

We build launch copy from two sources: structured interviews with you or your team, and where possible, conversations or surveys with the people most likely to be your first customers. The final output is a homepage that converts cold traffic (not just warm referrals), an onboarding email sequence that explains the product in human terms, and a positioning statement short enough to use in a pitch.

We have written launch copy for AI tools, SaaS platforms, professional services firms, physical product brands, and non-profit programs. The approach is the same across categories: understand the buyer problem first, feature the product second.
