Delivery Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2025 • Effective: January 1, 2025

1. Digital Delivery Only

All Copywriting Keeper services are delivered entirely in digital format. No physical documents, printed materials, or packaged goods are shipped at any point in the engagement. Delivery is completed via email or shared document link, as specified during the project briefing process.

If your industry or project requires printed materials, physical binders, or analog deliverables, those fall outside the scope of our services. We deliver copy -- the words, structured and ready for your use. How you print, publish, or deploy it is your responsibility.

2. When the Delivery Timeline Begins

This is the most important thing to understand about our delivery process: all timelines start from the date we receive your completed, approved project brief -- not from the date of payment.

Here is why this matters: copywriting cannot begin without accurate information about your business, audience, and goals. The brief is the foundation of everything we write. Delivering copy before we understand your brief would result in work that misses the mark and wastes everyone's time.

The sequence is:

  1. Payment confirmed by Stripe
  2. We contact you within 1 business day to schedule a discovery session and send the brief template
  3. You complete the brief and return it (or we complete it together during the discovery session)
  4. We confirm the brief in writing -- this is the start date for your delivery timeline
  5. Writing begins; you receive the first draft within the timeframe stated for your service

Time you spend completing or returning the brief does not count against our delivery window. We will always note in our brief confirmation email exactly what timeline applies and what date delivery is expected by.

3. Delivery Timelines by Service

The following timelines are typical and represent working days (Monday to Friday, excluding US federal holidays). Individual projects may vary based on scope, complexity, and brief clarity.

3.1 Startup and Launch Copy

Typical delivery: 10 to 14 business days from confirmed brief date.

This service covers brand messaging, homepage copy, launch email sequences, and supporting communications. Timeline varies based on word count and number of pieces included in the scope. Larger launch packages (full brand messaging plus email sequence plus landing page) trend toward the 14-day end.

3.2 Conversion Funnel Copy

Typical delivery: 14 to 21 business days from confirmed brief date.

Full funnel copy involves multiple interconnected pieces (landing page, opt-in page, thank-you page, upsell offers, email follow-up) that must read cohesively. Research into the product, audience, and competitor funnel approaches is built into the timeline. More complex funnels with 5+ pages trend toward 21 days.

3.3 LinkedIn Content Writing

Typical delivery: 10 business days from confirmed brief date.

A standard LinkedIn content batch is 8 to 12 posts per month. We deliver the full batch at once, not post by post, so you can review the overall voice and content calendar before publishing. Monthly content retainers follow the same timeline each month once the initial brief is established.

3.4 Video and Podcast Scripts

Typical delivery: 7 to 10 business days from confirmed brief date.

Scripts are written to be spoken, with timing notes and emphasis markers included. A standard YouTube script (8 to 12 minutes of content) delivers in 7 days; podcast outlines and longer format content trend toward 10 days. Script packages covering multiple episodes follow a staggered delivery schedule agreed during briefing.

3.5 Pitch Decks and Investor Copy

Typical delivery: 14 to 18 business days from confirmed brief date.

Investor copy requires understanding your business model, financials summary, competitive position, team, and the raise structure. We research your category and comparable raises before writing. This timeline reflects the research phase built into the service. We do not rush pitch copy -- the stakes are too high.

3.6 Grant and Proposal Writing

Typical delivery: 14 to 21 business days from confirmed brief date.

Grant writing is the most research-intensive service we offer. We review the specific grant requirements, the funder's stated priorities, your organization's eligibility, and any required supporting documentation before beginning the narrative. Complex federal grant applications may extend to 25 business days; smaller foundation grants may complete in 12. Scope is confirmed at briefing.

3.7 Rush Delivery Add-On

With the Rush Delivery add-on, we target delivery within 3 business days from confirmed brief date.

Rush delivery applies to Launch-scope projects only (not full funnel or grant writing). To qualify for rush timing, you must return the completed brief within 24 hours of receiving it. Rush projects are scheduled immediately on brief receipt and take priority over standard projects. Rush delivery does not reduce quality -- it reduces queue time and compresses the writing window by temporarily pausing other scheduled work.

4. Delivery Format

We match the delivery format to your project and stated preference:

  • Google Doc (default): Shared with edit access, with comments explaining key decisions, structure choices, and alternative options for specific lines. This is our preferred delivery format for most clients because it allows both parties to add notes and track changes in real time.
  • Microsoft Word (.docx): Available on request for clients who prefer to work in Word. Track Changes is used for revisions when the file format is Word.
  • PDF: Used for grant applications and formal proposal submissions where a clean layout and read-only format is appropriate. Revisions to PDF deliverables are handled via a separate comments document or a second Google Doc round.
  • Plain text: Available for technical teams who need to import copy directly into a CMS, codebase, or content system without formatting overhead.

State your format preference in the brief. If you do not state a preference, we default to Google Doc.

5. What Is Included in Each Delivery

Every first draft delivery includes:

  • The requested copy in the agreed format
  • A cover note explaining key decisions: audience framing used, tone calibration choices, structural decisions, and any alternatives we considered and rejected
  • Notes on where specific lines or sections may need your input (e.g., claims that require internal data you should verify, or calls to action that reference your internal tools)
  • Revision instructions explaining how to submit feedback for the first revision round

6. Revision Process

Revision rounds are included per your package or as stated on your service page. To use a revision round effectively:

  1. Review the full draft before sending feedback
  2. Consolidate all feedback into a single document or email (scattered feedback in multiple messages counts as one round)
  3. Be specific: "The headline on section 3 needs to be more direct" is useful. "It needs to be better" is not.
  4. If your feedback represents a shift in brief (new audience, new positioning, new product detail), note this explicitly so we can assess whether it falls within the revision scope or requires a brief amendment

Revision turnaround is typically 3 to 5 business days from receipt of your consolidated feedback. Revisions are not limited in depth per round -- if you have 20 line-level notes in one round, we address all 20.

7. Delay Notification

If we anticipate a delay beyond the quoted delivery window -- due to illness, a higher-than-expected project complexity, or circumstances outside our control -- we will notify you in writing as soon as the delay becomes apparent. We will:

  • State the reason for the delay
  • Provide a revised delivery date
  • Offer options if the delay is significant (e.g., partial early delivery, scope adjustment, or a partial refund for time missed)

We do not ghost clients on delivery. If you have not received your draft by the expected date and have not received a delay notification, email hello@copywritingkeeper.com immediately and we will investigate and respond within 4 hours on business days.

8. Project Completion and Closure

A project is considered complete and closed when any of the following occurs:

  • All included revision rounds have been completed and the final version has been delivered
  • You communicate written acceptance of the delivered draft without further revision requests
  • 90 days pass from first draft delivery without revision feedback from the Client (for Authority Package), or 30 days for Launch and Amplify packages

After project closure, copy is retained in our records per the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy. You retain full ownership of all final deliverables.
